United Kingdom, July 17 -- Craig Melvin is "doing just fine" after being confronted by an intruder on the set of the Today show.

The 47-year-old presenter has spoken out after a man identified as Anderw Truelove broke into the Rockefeller Plaza studio in New York City at around 9am on Thursday (16.07.26) and allegedly began yelling racial slurs at him after slipping past security.

Craig - who had previously announced plans to take a break from the show to go on vacation from Monday (20.07.26) - later wrote on Instagram: "Hey everyone. I've heard from so many of you over the last few hours.

"I'm doing just fine. Thanks for reaching out. I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning on @todayshow."
