United Kingdom, Oct. 20 -- Christina Applegate was misdiagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The 54-year-old actress was diagnosed with MS, a lifelong autoimmune condition, back in August 2021 - but Christina has now revealed that the diagnosis was incorrect.

Speaking to Jamie Lynn Sigler on their MeSsy podcast, Christina explained: "[The doctor] came into my room and said, 'Congratulations, you don't have MS'. I was, like, not happy at all. Everybody else was so happy."

Despite the misdiagnosis, Christina has continued to battle debilitating symptoms.

The Hollywood star observed that she's "back at square one".
