United Kingdom, June 11 -- Chrissy Teigen is mourning the death of her father, Ron Teigen Sr - just days before he turned 74.

The model wife of singer John Legend took to her Instagram page to reveal her heartbreaking loss, as she said: "Yesterday I woke up with a daddy and went to bed without one."

The 40-year-old went on to tell her followers that her day had begun as normal, with a "hurried shower", answering emails and "laughing with friends"

She wrote: "And then my dad just like.f****** died."

Chrissy added that because she's always had an "old dad" - a fact she's "come to terms with" - she didn't think she would have "fallen to the ground the way I did".

She continued to recall how she'd written Ron a letter "about how grateful...
