United Kingdom, Oct. 6 -- Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford have raised a whopping $7.65 million for charity.

The showbiz power couple hosted their annual star-studded Wassail benefit at Los Angeles' El Rey Theatre on Sunday night (04.10.26) to raise money for Children in Conflict, a non-profit organisation that aims to protect, educate, and provide vital mental health support to children living in war zones and high-conflict areas globally.

Actress Carey announced the amount raise to gasps from the audience, and she said: "This is more money than we have ever raised before."

Singer Marcus - who wed Carey in 2012 - added: "This money will help us bring support to over one million children in war zones.
