United Kingdom, Aug. 31 -- Caleb Shomo has admitted he "faced a lot of homophobia" after coming out as gay.

The Beartooth rocker filed for divorce from Fleur Shomo, his wife of nearly 14 years, last month - two months after revealing the truth about his sexuality and announcing himself as a "proud gay man".

Caleb, 33, has now opened up about the reaction to his announcement, as he said during an interview on the Breakdown with Nath Johnny podcast: "I'm going to just do what I wanna do. I'm gonna wear what I wanna wear. I'm gonna sing how I wanna sing.

"I'm gonna look how I wanna look and just enjoy being an artist that's allowed to do that, and that has the freedom to do that.
