United Kingdom, May 26 -- Wil Wheaton is set to appear in Stuart Fails To Save The Universe.

The Star Trek: The Next Generation actor, who played a fictional version of himself as Sheldon Cooper's (Jim Parsons) in The Big Bang Theory, is the latest star from the original sitcom to be confirmed for the upcoming spinoff.

In a new sizzle reel recently released by HBO Max, Wil can be seen in a scene at the comic book store.

The character looks to be firing an energy blast at the show's stars Stuart, Denise, Bert and Kripke.

Wil appeared in 17 episode of The Big Bang Theory from season 3 to 12, but it's not yet known how prominent he'll be in the spinoff series.
