Beyonce sued for copyright infringement on Alien Superstar - report
United Kingdom, Aug. 11 -- Beyonce is being sued for alleged copyright infringement over her song Alien Superstar.
According to TMZ, a company called Hirose Enterprise, and a producer named Shuji Hirose, are asking for unspecified damages from the world-famous singer and various music companies over the track, which featured on her 2022 album Renaissance.
The outlet reported that Hirose are claiming they own the rights to a song called Moonraker, performed by John Holiday, with Beyonce using the "spoken word introduction" of the tune in Alien Superstar without obtaining a license prior to the album's release.
Hirose alleged that Beyonce and her team did later seek a license, but did so only from performer Holiday - not Hirose.
