United Kingdom, Aug. 3 -- Ariana Grande has received public support from her mother Joan Grande after announcing plans to step back from the spotlight following months of intense scrutiny over her appearance during the promotion of her latest music.

The 33-year-old singer's mum spoke out after her famous daughter shared a series of behind-the-scenes photographs from the filming of her Petal music video on Instagram, days after the release of her new album of the same name.
