United Kingdom, Sept. 3 -- Anya Taylor-Joy thinks she's "protected" herself too much from the idea of fame.

The 30-year-old actress spoke to her friend Miley Cyrus for a new interview, and was asked how she protects "parts of yourself that are just yours".

She told Miley, 33, in a chat for V magazine: "If anything, I think I've protected myself too much. It took me a minute to not feel hunted, to not want to hide.

"I've learned to take things less seriously by choosing which opinions actually matter to me and which are based on very little information at all."

Miley also quizzed Anya how she feels about the expectations around the upcoming third Dune movie, and if she's "still secretly trying to impress" someone in her life.
