Andy Murray eased off golf after back injury
United Kingdom, June 26 -- Andy Murray has blamed "hitting too many golf balls" for his debilitating back injury.
The 39-year-old sportsman took up golf after retiring from professional tennis in 2024 and previously confessed to spending five to six hours a day working on his swing.
But Murray has to take it easier these days after injury forced him off the green for two months because he was practicing his swing far too much.
He told Telegraph Sport: "I got injured. I missed about two months of golf from the end of April through till the end of May. It was just hitting too many golf balls, so I had to have an injection in my back, which has actually helped me to start playing again."
