United Kingdom, Aug. 25 -- Andrew Garfield hopes to have inherited his mother's "nurturing" qualities.

The 43-year-old actor has explained how he admired the capacity his late mother Lynn, a nursery teacher who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2019, had for taking care of others.

Andrew told Esquire UK: "I hope I have my mother's capacity for empathy and compassion and care and nurturing and love.

"She was a very purely unconditionally loving person, wanting to help everybody all the time - anyone who she could get her hands on, anyone that came into her orbit.
