United Kingdom, Oct. 18 -- Amanda Seyfried's life is "interesting" right now.

The 40-year-old actress confirmed last month that she and Thomas Sadoski have split after nine years of marriage, but she seems to be feeling philosophical about the situation because she insisted "everything happens for a reason".

Asked how her life is, she told The Hollywood Reporter: "It's interesting, yeah, it's interesting."

She then agreed with the outlet that it is hard to give interviews at the moment and added: "But, for a good reason. I don't know, I think everything that's happening is meant to happen [and] everything, everyone that's in your life is meant to be in your life. That's just, kind of, and I'm here tonight."
