United Kingdom, Aug. 13 -- Nicole Kidman ignored warnings not to marry Tom Cruise because she was "madly in love".

The 59-year-old actress wed her Days of Thunder co-star in 1990 when she was just 23 years old and though she was advised such a high-profile union ould overshadow her career, she didn't care because she was so besotted and it felt like the "natural" thing to do.

She told Britain's Vogue magazine: "I got married so young. Suddenly I was 22, 23 years old and I had this huge movie star husband. But it just seemed completely natural. We just fell madly in love and it was that simple.
