United Kingdom, March 14 -- Sebastian Bach has apologised after Christina Applegate admitted aborted a date with Brad Pitt to go home with him.

The Anchorman actress recently caused a stir when she admitted she had invited the Hollywood hunk - who was yet to become "the man of so many people's dreams" - alongside other members of her LA posse to the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards, where the Married With Children star was appearing as a presenter, but had her head turned by the Skid Row frontman.

And now, Sebastian, 57, has opened up about what happened and admitted he was "very surprised when that all hit."

He told Billboard: "I was a single guy on tour, in a band, and I met a lot of girls, and I apologise if I hurt her. if I hurt anybody...
