United Kingdom, June 8 -- Xbox chief Matt Booty has insisted "exclusives are important" after the Xbox Games Showcase.

Over the weekend, the Microsoft gaming company confirmed that Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution would both be Xbox console exclusives, and won't be available on PlayStation 5.

Speaking to Gamerstag Radio, Xbox's executive and chief content officer Booty said: "Our big multiplayer games [and] live-service games are going to continue to be multiplatform.

"We want people to have a reason to get on board with Xbox. We want them to have a reason to buy an Xbox. A reason to be an Xbox fan.
