United Kingdom, May 21 -- Quantic Dream has insisted Star Wars Eclipse development is continuing "as planned" despite shutting down Spellcasters Chronicles.

The studio behind the upcoming Star Wars title has confirmed its first live-service game, which launched in February, will be closed down on June 19, but Eclipse won't be impacted by the move.

In a statement, Quantic Dream said: "The development of Star Wars Eclipse is not affected by this decision and continues as planned."

The Star Wars game was first announced at The Game Awards 2021, and set in the High Republic era of the franchise's timeline
