Resident Evil producer hints at future game set in Japan
United Kingdom, June 2 -- A future Resident Evil game could finally take the long-running survival horror franchise to Japan, according to series producer Masato Kumazawa.
While no Japan-set title has been confirmed, Kumazawa recently discussed the possibility in an interview with Japanese outlet Futaman, fuelling fresh speculation among fans about where Capcom may take the series next.
Speaking in comments translated by IGN, Kumazawa admitted the idea has long been on developers' minds.
He said: "I think that every Japanese Resident Evil fan has definitely thought about a Japan setting, and I've also considered it myself.
