United Kingdom, April 8 -- Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled a new community initiative that will give players the chance to appear inside their favourite games.
The programme, dubbed The Playerbase, will allow one fan to collaborate directly with a first-party studio and have their likeness featured in-game.
The initiative will begin with Gran Turismo 7, with plans to expand to other titles in the future.
Describing the project, Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, said it offers a "unique opportunity for PlayStation's biggest fans to step into some of the biggest game worlds by having their likeness scanned and appear in a PlayStation game".
