India, July 10 -- Yamaha has launched the FZ Blue Flex in India at Rs 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom anf the bike can run on ethanol blends from E20 to E85 while continuing with the same 149cc engine, 5-speed gearbox and familiar FZ design. It also carries over the existing suspension and braking setup, though Yamaha has reduced the ground clearance, increased the kerb weight and revised the engine to suit higher ethanol blends.

The FZ Blue Flex makes Yamaha the latest manufacturer to enter India's flex-fuel motorcycle segment. Suzuki already offers the Gixxer SF 250, while Hero's lineup includes flex-fuel versions of the Splendor+ and HF Deluxe.
