India, May 11 -- Toyota is preparing for a bigger role in the Indian car market with a new manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. The company has confirmed that the facility will come up at the Bidkin Industrial Area in Aurangabad, with production set to begin in the first half of 2029. Toyota has been seeing strong demand in India with models like the Innova Hycross, Fortuner and Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and this new plant shows the brand is getting ready for the next stage of growth.
