India, April 22 -- The new Tesla Model Y Long Wheelbase AWD sits between the Standard RWD variant and the top-spec Long Range RWD model. It offers 681 kilometres of range.

Tesla has launched the Long Wheelbase version of the Model Y in India at Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Compared to the standard Model Y, the stretched version is Rs 2.10 lakh more expensive, but it undercuts the Long-Range variant by Rs 5.90 lakh. The Tesla Model Y Long Wheelbase is positioned to bridge a gap in the existing lineup as a mid-spec option, and has a six-seat configuration as well as a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, which is the first for India.
