India, Oct. 17 -- Renault has launched the Duster Hybrid in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 16.99 lakh, adding a strong-hybrid powertrain to its new-generation SUV line-up. The hybrid version is available in three variants, with prices going up to Rs 19.49 lakh for the range-topping Emotion trim. It uses a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with two electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery, producing a combined output of 158bhp. The new powertrain also gives the Duster an alternative to the petrol-only versions, placing it against established hybrid SUVs from Maruti Suzuki and Toyota.
