India, Sept. 8 -- Audi has brought back the A2 nameplate in electric form with a new compact hatchback that sits below the Q4 e-tron in its EV line-up. The new A2 e-tron is based on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform and focuses on efficiency rather than simply chasing higher power or larger battery capacity. It gets three battery sizes, four power outputs, and rear-wheel drive across the range, with the longest-range version capable of covering up to 646km on a single charge under the WLTP cycle. Production will take place at Audi's Ingolstadt plant, with first deliveries scheduled for December 2026.
