India, Sept. 18 -- MG Selets has introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership option for the Cyberster and M9 in India, giving buyers the choice of paying separately for the battery based on usage. Under the new arrangement, the MG Cyberster is available at Rs 72.49 lakh plus a battery rental of Rs 8/km, while the MG M9 starts at Rs 69.99 lakh, also with an Rs 8 per km battery rental (both ex-showroom). The programme adds another ownership route for MG's two luxury EVs, which currently cater to very different buyers, from those looking for a two-seat electric sports car to customers seeking a chauffeur-focused luxury MPV.
