India, Feb. 16 -- Jeep has launched a new special edition of the Meridian SUV, called the Track Edition, with prices starting at Rs 35.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The limited-run model commands a premium of Rs 43,000 over the Overland trim it is based on. Moreover, buyers will need to shell out Rs 9,200 extra for the mandatory AXS package, on top of the ex-showroom price. While the special edition gets exclusive cosmetic upgrades, it retains the same 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 168bhp and 350Nm. A 9-speed automatic transmission comes as standard, and the SUV is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations.
