India, July 17 -- Honda Cars India has announced that its advanced wind tunnel testing centre in Tochigi, Japan, has received approval from two of India's top automotive testing organisations, ARAI and ICAT. The approval allows the company to use this facility for testing Indian Honda models under the upcoming Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) rules. This is an important step for the carmaker as India is preparing to introduce the new testing system from April 1, 2027. The approval will help Honda carry out vehicle testing and complete future certification work for its upcoming models more efficiently.
