India, Oct. 8 -- Ather Energy has rolled out 5 lakh electric scooter from its Hosur, Tamil Nadu facility, marking a significant production milestone for the Bengaluru-based EV maker. The company, which started operations in 2013, has now completed over a decade in India's electric two-wheeler market. The milestone vehicle was the Ather Rizta, launched last year, which has emerged as one of the company's most popular offerings, contributing over one-third of its total production so far. The achievement comes amid steady growth in demand, with sales increasing both in large urban centres and smaller towns, reflecting the wider acceptance of electric scooters among Indian riders.
