India, Feb. 20 -- Royal Enfield has updated its popular adventure bike, the Himalayan 450, for 2026 with a new side stand. The Himalayan's previous side stand caused the bike to tilt excessively when parked, making it difficult to handle the 196kg machine, especially on soft or sloped terrain. To tackle this issue, RE has equipped the 2026 iteration with a redesigned side stand that has a more upright design.

The new side stand is said to reduce the bike's deep tilt when parked, keeping it more upright, improving stability, making it easier to handle, and enhancing safety for riders, especially on off-road or uneven terrain.
