India, March 13 -- Kia adds new automatic options to the Sonet lineup with DCT in HTK O petrol and torque converter AT in HTE O diesel, expanding choices for compact SUV buyers.
Kia India has expanded the Sonet lineup for the 2026 model year by introducing new automatic variants in the entry and mid-range trims. The biggest update is the addition of a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with the diesel engine in the HTE (O) variant, priced from Rs 9.77 lakh (ex-showroom). For buyers who spend most of their time in city traffic, this update makes the Sonet easier to live with without needing to move to higher trims. It also opens the door for more buyers who want the convenience of an automatic gearbox at a lower price point.
