A Ryde man, 44, is expected to appear before the NSW Bail Division Court today (1 October, 2026) charged for allegedly trafficking a woman known to him out of Australia.
An AFP investigation began in January 2026 following a report a woman had allegedly been trafficked from Australia to Egypt in November 2024.
Police will allegethe man initiated the cancellation process of the woman's visa ahead of her departure to Egypt, where she was to visit relatives, and while she was overseas, the man cancelled her return flight to Australia.
