An Australian Army reservist is scheduled to face Adelaide Magistrates Court today (7 April, 2026) charged with breaching Defence legislation by allegedly working for a foreign military without authorisation. This is the first time the AFP has charged someone with this offence.
The AFP began an investigation after receiving a referral from Defence alleging the South Australian man, 25, a member of the ADF Reserves, had worked for a foreign military without authorisation.
