The Albanese Government will recommend to the Governor‑General that Therese McCarthy Hockey and the Hon David Bradbury be appointed as Deputy Chairs of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) for five‑year terms.
These appointments bring the best available mix of strong leadership, experience and fresh thinking to the regulator.
The appointment of two Deputy Chairs will enhance APRA's capability to meet its objectives at a time of increasing scale and complexity in the financial system.
