West Bengal: TMC-BJP workers clash in North 24 Parganas as final phase polling concludes
North 24 Parganas, April 29 -- A violent clash broke out between Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers at Booth Number 120 in the Arabinda Rally in North 24 Parganas as voting for the second and last phase of West Bengal elections ended. To control the situation, security forces arrived at the scene.
BJP candidate from the Noapara constituency Arjun Singh was also present during the ordeal and levelled serious allegations of electoral malpractice. Singh accused a local councillor's husband of orchestrating "forceful" voting across multiple booths, stating that a complaint would be filed with the Election Commission.
