Wayanad, July 7 -- Police have registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with the Wayanad landslide, while rescue operations continue with the priority of locating those still missing, Kannur Range DIG Karthick K said on Tuesday.

At least four people were killed and six others remain missing after a landslide struck the Kalladi tunnel construction site in Meppadi Grama Panchayat of Keralam's Wayanad district on Tuesday, officials said.

Speaking to ANI, the DIG said inquest proceedings, post-mortem examinations, identification of the bodies and the investigation were underway alongside rescue efforts.
