New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- Director of Cricket at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE), VVS Laxman, is going to take charge of the Indian men's team at the upcoming Asian Games 2026 to be held n Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, later this month.

Laxman will be assisted by Sunil Joshi, Hrishikesh Kanitkar and Subhadeep Ghosh, as per the list of coaches released by the Sports Ministry.

Laxman had also coached the Indian men's team at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, where India won the gold medal.

Regular head coach Gautam Gambhir will be with the senior team for the home ODI series against the West Indies, with the first ODI scheduled to be played on September 27.
