New Delhi, Sept. 6 -- Vinaya Prakash Singh, a 1988 batch officer of the Indian Postal Service, has been re-elected as Secretary-General of the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) for a second consecutive four-year term, as per the release.

He was declared elected unopposed by acclamation at the 14th APPU Congress held in Bangkok on September 4.

His re-election reflects the confidence and consensus of postal administrations across the Asia-Pacific region in his leadership and is a significant recognition of India's contribution to international postal cooperation. His second term will commence in January 2027 and continue until December 2030, the release said.
