Varanasi, Aug. 24 -- Divisional Commissioner S Rajalingam conducted an on-site inspection of ongoing ropeway projects in Varanasi on Monday and reviewed the progress and current status of construction work at various stations.

Rajalingam inspected the ongoing construction work at Godaulia and Church ropeway stations and reviewed security arrangements, artwork, finishing work and other facilities at the stations. He also visited Rathyatra Station and took stock of the construction progress.

The Divisional Commissioner directed officials and implementing agencies to expedite the remaining work at Godaulia, Church and other ropeway stations and complete it at the earliest.
