Tehran, March 14 -- Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said that security and stability in West Asia depend on cooperation among regional countries, noting that the presence of the US, along with its allies, has brought no peace or stability in the region.

In an interview with Xinhua, Baghaei said Iran remains determined to defend itself against what he described as aggression by the United States and Israel as the conflict escalates in the region.

Calling the US-Israel attacks on Iranian territory a violation of international law, the Iranian spokesperson said such actions constituted a breach of peace and could not be justified under any legal framework.
