Washington DC, May 19 -- US President Trump will host the swearing-in ceremony for incoming Federal Reserve chair Kevin Warsh on Friday, Wall Street Journal reported. The swearing-in ceremony assumes importance as Trump has personally taken keen interest in the appointment of Warsh after disagreements with Powell over interest rate cuts. On May 14, the White House had informed that Kevin Warsh had been confirmed as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

Outgoing Fed chair Jerome Powell, who was also picked by Trump in his first term, was sworn-in at the Federal Reserve. Trump had skipped the ceremony.
