Washington, July 5 -- US President Donald Trump on Saturday (local time) utilised the "Salute to America" celebration on the National Mall to boast of the military success abroad, asserting that the United States has "wiped out" the military forces of both Venezuela and Iran.

Addressing the crowd on the nation's 250th Independence Day, the President framed these actions as evidence of the nation's restored global strength.

"You look at Venezuela, you look at Iran -- we wiped it out, wiped out their military," Trump told the audience.
