Transport strike threatens Pakistan's industrial activity
Karachi, Aug. 9 -- A nationwide strike by goods transporters has raised serious concerns over its potential impact on Pakistan's industrial activity, as business leaders warn that prolonged disruption to raw material supplies could severely affect production, export commitments and the broader economy.
According to The Express Tribune, industrialists have cautioned that the suspension of cargo movement could bring factories to a standstill, disrupt production schedules and jeopardise export commitments, with consequences for employment and Pakistan's already fragile economy.
