Srinagar, Aug. 7 -- In an effort to reconnect the younger generation with Kashmir's rich cultural heritage, a traditional Kashmiri theatre performance captivated students at the Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute on the outskirts of Srinagar.

The play was organised by the Mehak Dramatic Club with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, as part of an initiative to promote theatre, preserve the Kashmiri language, and encourage cultural awareness among students.

Written by noted playwright Reshi Rasheed, the play revolved around the importance of family relationships, traditional values, cultural identity and the need to preserve the region's heritage in an increasingly fast-paced and technology-driven world.
