Tom Cruise calls Paramount's 30-movie plan "awesome" amid WBD merger
Washington, Sept. 2 -- Tom Cruise has thrown his support behind Paramount's plan to deliver 30 movies a year, praising the studio's vision amid its proposed USD 111 billion merger with Warner Bros Discovery.
As reported by Deadline, in a recent interview, the 'Mission: Impossible' star endorsed Paramount CEO David Ellison's promise to increase film production and releases.
"I think it's awesome," Cruise said when asked about the merger and Ellison's 30-movies-a-year commitment.
"They're going to deliver 30 movies," Cruise said, adding, "It's a community to me. It's not an industry. The people in these studios are not just people in the studios. They're my family."
