Kolkata, June 19 -- Chaos erupted at Kolkata Airport ahead of the arrival of Trinamool Congress (TMC) National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee from Delhi, with the party alleging a security threat and accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating an attack.

In a post on X on Friday, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) alleged that an armed BJP worker had planned to target Banerjee and termed the incident a serious law-and-order failure.
