Dharamshala, Sept. 24 -- Tibetan activists have urged US President Donald Trump and other world leaders to raise the Tibet issue and human rights concerns during Chinese President Xi Jinping's ongoing visit to the United States.

Representatives of the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) and Students for a Free Tibet India said Xi's visit provides an opportunity for the international community to draw attention to the situation in Tibet and the concerns of the Tibetan people.

Tenzin Dhesal, Information Secretary of the Tibetan Youth Congress, said Tibetans did not welcome Xi Jinping and urged global leaders to speak about the situation in Tibet.
