Thoothukudi residents urge Centre to roll back Rs 29 domestic LPG price hike
Thoothukudi, June 7 -- Residents in Thoothukudi on Sunday urged the Central government to immediately withdraw the recent hike in domestic LPG cylinder prices, saying the increase has added to the financial burden on households already grappling with rising living costs.
The price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 29 with effect from June 7. In Chennai, the price has risen from Rs 928.50 to Rs 957.50, drawing concern among homemakers and the general public.
