Hyderabad, Sept. 10 -- The Telangana government on Thursday approved the expansion of Gudemdoddi Balancing Reservoir by enhancing its storage capacity from 1.19 TMC (Thousand Million Cubic feet) to 15.00 TMC under a Pumped Storage Project (PSP) integrated with solar power generation.

According to a government order issued by the Irrigation and CAD (Projects-II) Department, the state government has approved the proposal based on the circumstances reported by the Chief Engineer (I), Wanaparthy, and after examination of the matter.
