Godavarikhani, Oct. 14 -- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday accused the Congress government in Telangana of conspiring to privatise Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and alleged irregularities in the company's operations.

Addressing the Singareni Karmika Garjana public meeting at Singareni Stadium in Godavarikhani, he called on workers to unite to protect the public sector undertaking.

Describing Ramagundam as a land of struggle, KTR praised Singareni workers for their contribution to the country's energy sector and the Telangana statehood movement. He recalled their participation in the 45-day Sakala Janula Samme, which intensified the agitation for statehood.
