Hyderabad, July 31 -- The Punjagutta Police in Telangana have registered an FIR against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former MLA Rega Kantha Rao following a complaint by a woman alleging sexual exploitation, cheating and blackmail, according to the FIR.

According to the FIR copy, a petition was received on July 26 at 1 pm from a 22-year-old woman residing in Durga Nagar Colony, Somajiguda. The complainant, a native of Yellandu in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, stated that she works in the media sector.
