Coimbatore, Aug. 2 -- Tamil Nadu Prohibition and Excise Minister K Vignesh on Sunday said several key development projects for Coimbatore are expected to be included in the upcoming State Budget, while asserting that the government will take stringent action against illegal quarrying and unauthorised mineral extraction.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam office at Sokkanur village near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district, the Minister said the State Government has received multiple proposals for Coimbatore's development and that several long-pending public projects are likely to find a place in the forthcoming Budget.
